Lobbying in the European Parliament – origins of the phenomenon, present condition, prospects for the future

The complexity of decisive processes in the European Union as well as multitude of issues regulated by it has led to a situation in which we can observe a sudden increase in lobbyists activities involvement. Although it seems accurate to state that their actions understood as an inseparable element of the system have been fully accepted, this phenomenon is not thoroughly examined in the Polish subject literature. What the author means by that statement is not only the origins and causes of lobbying but first of its present state in one of the crucial institutions of the European Union which is the European Parliament. It must be remembered that lobbying is not only legal but also appropriate and that the Polish groups of interests have also right to lobby for their priorities.
