Economic and social cohesion in the cohesion countries of the European Union in years 1994–2008

The aim’s of article is to present the economic and social changes of less developed countries of the European Union over 1994–2008. Carried out synthetics suggest that by 2008 we had to deal with slow catching up cohesion countries to richer (social and eco‑ nomic cohesion). As result of the global economic crisis in 2008, the process equalizing differences between EU countries has not only been stopped, but the gap of some cohesion countries to more developed has enlarged.
