Concepts of solving the problem of illegal immigrants from Mexico in the years 2007–2011 on the basis of projects and state immigration laws
EVERY YEAR THE U.S.-Mexican border exceeds illegally nearly 400 thousand people. Although the United States is the country of immigrants, conducted surveys show that the ratio of Americans to people crossing the border illegally is not open and friendly, regardless of generated due to the costs (health, social and education), which are born by the state and thus taxpayers. In view of the fact that illegal aliens are a problem especially for states, their legislatures are extremely active in creating legislation aimed at struggling with an illegal influx of people and solving the issue with ones who have already resided in the United States. Arizona was the first state which proposed to establish the stringent law to struggle with immigrants staying illegally in the state. And although District Court has blocked the most controversial provisions of a restrictive state law, Arizona’s course followed 18 states, willing to regulate their illegal immigration issues (the debate or voting are jointly in 37 states). The aim of this paper is to present the current state of legislation on selected examples and attempt to answer the following question: whether undocumented immigrants generate only costs for the federation and the states or there are any benefits that they bring?
