Television is the best means that can persuade voters to support a particular candidate or a certain political party. As for television, the proportional cost of familiarizing a voter with the political offer is lower than other forms of political communication. In this article the authors present the process of Left and Democracy (LiD) medial image creation. There are spots and debates, in which Aleksander Kwaśniewski participated, analysed. Moreover, the medial events that took place beacause of the requirements of the campaign are looked at in the text mentioned. In the beginning of the article the authors advance the thesis according to which LiD lose a parliamentary, because the television offer of this party did not differ from the one of Civil Platform (PO). In the parliamentary campaign of 2007 LiD was a political product, which was still in a rising phase. It presented its political offer for the first time in the year before. At that time this offer was presented as an alternative one for both Low and Justice (PiS) and Civil Platform, which still could be argued. As a result of thas marketing operations a considerable progress in social awareness that LiD constituted the only alternative for the two biggest Polish parties was done. LiD aimed at getting higher support in the parliamentary election in 2007 than in the previous one. Therefore LiD should have continued this strategy in medial political advertising. However, it failed to do so. The political offer of LiD in the last campaign was introduced as an alternative only for PiS. Consequently voters could not find the difference between the policy of LiD and that of Civil Platform. LiD image creators forgot or did not understand, that the profiles of the supporters of the two parties are very much alike. By means of spots analysis, debates and creations of medial events the authors of this article succeeded in confirimg their thesis.
