Review Process
Copernicus Political and Legal Studies publishes only papers that received positive reviews. All articles and research reports submitted to CPLS are double-blind reviewed by two independent peer reviewers. Positive reviews are the necessary condition to publish a paper – if assessments are profoundly different, the editors may ask another expert to deliver a final evaluation.
The journal accepts only papers which meet formal standards and essential requirements. If the article fulfils these criteria, the editors send its anonymous copy to two independent reviewers. The review typically takes less than two months, however in some cases it may be extended. Two positive reviews are the necessary condition to publish a paper in the journal. Authors receive anonymous copies of reports, and they have up to a month to present the final version of the paper. Rejected papers can be resubmitted to the CPLS (after essential edition) not earlier than six months after the rejection.
Instructions for Reviewers
