Misja:
Idea publikowania czasopisma „Edukacja Międzykulturowa” warunkowana jest postępującą krystalizacją pedagogiki międzykulturowej, która należy do ważniejszych nowych subdyscyplin pedagogiki współczesnej na świecie, a od ponad trzydziestu lat prężnie rozwija się w Polsce. Znaczącymi impulsami do jej rozwoju stały się procesy integracji europejskiej i aktywność polskich pedagogów.
W latach 2012-2016 – rocznik, w latach 2017-2021 – półrocznik, a od roku 2022 – kwartalnik nawiązuje do tradycji serii wydawniczej „Edukacja Międzykulturowa”, ukazującej się w Uniwersytecie Śląskim w Katowicach na Wydziale Sztuki i Nauk o Edukacji w Cieszynie od 1992 roku i obejmującej aktualnie 91 tomów. Zagadnienia zawarte w półroczniku przedstawione są w odczytaniach właściwych pedagogice, psychologii, socjologii, filozofii, językoznawstwu, teologii, kulturoznawstwu, historii (i innych dyscyplin szeroko pojmowanych nauk humanistycznych). Badaniom i studiom o charakterze metodologicznym towarzyszy namysł i próby ulepszania metodologii badań oraz sposobów interpretacji wyników badań. Periodyk stanowi zatem forum naukowe, sprzyjające rozwijaniu nauk pedagogicznych i upowszechnianiu pedagogiki międzykulturowej, umożliwiając tym samym przedstawicielom wielu specjalności pedagogicznych i reprezentantom innych dyscyplin – dzielenie się swymi osiągnięciami oraz nawiązanie szerokiej współpracy i wymiany doświadczeń.
Celem periodyku jest promowanie polskiego dorobku pedagogiki międzykulturowej oraz upowszechnianie jej osiągnięć w wymiarze międzynarodowym. Potwierdza to także międzynarodowy skład Rady Naukowej oraz Zespołu Recenzentów.
Za publikację w „Edukacji Międzykulturowej” Autorzy uzyskują 100 punktów. Publikacja artykułów jest bezpłatna.

Mssion:
The idea of publishing 'Intercultural Education' results from gradual crystallization of intercultural education as one of major new subdisciplines of contemporary world pedagogy as well as from its dynamic development in Poland over the last three decades. This development has been significantly enhanced by the processes of European integration and the activity of Polish educationalists.
In the years 2012-2016 – annual, in 2017-2021 – semiannual and since 2022 – quarterly journal refers to the tradition of the publishing series 'Intercultural Education', which has been issued by the University of Silesia in Katowice at the Faculty of Arts and Educational Science in Cieszyn since 1992 and which currently comprises 91 volumes. The issues explored in the journal are presented in interpretations characteristic of pedagogy, psychology, sociology, philosophy, linguistics, theology, cultural studies, history (and other disciplines of broadly treated humanities). Methodological studies head for improving both research methodology and the ways of interpreting research results. Therefore, the periodical constitutes a scientific forum which facilitates the development of pedagogical disciplines and popularization of intercultural education. This enables pedagogy experts and the representatives of other sciences to share their achievements, to enter broader cooperation and to exchange experience.
The journal aims at promoting the scientific output of Polish pedagogy and popularization of its achievements internationally. This is also confirmed by the international members of the Scientific Council and the Team of Reviewers.
The Authors receive 100 points for publishing in "Intercultural Education". The publication is free of charge.

Czasopismo w pełni publikowane jest na licencji Open Access CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.
Redakcja „Edukacji Międzykulturowej” wyraża zgodę na umieszczanie opublikowanych artykułów (oraz artykułów przyjętych do druku) na stronach internetowych autorów, a także wskazanych przez nich stronach internetowych jednostek naukowych i repozytoriów (np. academia.edu). Ponadto zezwala się na wykorzystanie opublikowanych artykułów na potrzeby dydaktyczne autora, a także ich niekomercyjne rozpowszechnianie, w tym w książkach autorskich. Inne formy wykorzystywania opublikowanych artykułów (oraz artykułów przyjętych do druku) wymagają zgody ze strony wydawcy.
Podczas rozpowszechniania lub wykorzystywania artykułów prosimy o podanie pełnego zapisu bibliograficznego, odwołania do strony internetowej EM oraz wskazanie odpowiedniego identyfikatora cyfrowego DOI.
Redakcja czasopisma naukowego „Edukacja Międzykulturowa” przyjęła zasady etyki publikacyjnej zgodne z wytycznymi COPE – Komitetu do spraw Etyki Publikacyjnej i stosuje je w pełni od 2017 roku. Standardy etyczne czasopisma i polityka antyplagiatowa Redakcji wyjaśnione są na stronie internetowej tytułu, zaś autorzy zobowiązani w oświadczeniu do potwierdzenia, że ich praca spełnia przyjęte standardy etyki publikacyjnej.

The journal is fully published in Open Access under license CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.
Edukacja Międzykulturowa/Intercultural Education agrees to post the accepted and the published paper on author’s websites, websites of author’s department or faculty, repositories of author’s institutions and subject repositories (such as academia.edu) without any restrictions. The Edukacja Międzykulturowa/Intercultural Education agrees to use the published paper for author’s teaching needs, to non-commercial supply to academic colleagues and to use it in author’s books after publication in the journal. Other forms of the use of the accepted and the published paper require permission from the publisher.
When posting or using the article, please give the full citation, provide a link to the EM website and add the appropriate DOI number.
The editors of the scientific journal Edukacja Międzykulturowa/Intercultural Education adopted the principles of publishing ethics in accordance with the guidelines of COPE - the Committee for Publishing Ethics and applies them fully from 2017. The ethical standards of the journal and anti-plagiarism policy of the Editors are explained on the website of the title, while the authors are obliged in a statement to confirm that their work meets the accepted standards of publication ethics.
