PPSY Seminar "Security in Central Europe" (April 24, 2018)
The Polish Political Science Yearbook invites all scholars, researchers and professionals to participate in the 7th PPSY International Seminar "Security in Central Europe: Confronting Uncertainty?" which takes place in Toruń (Poland) on April 24, 2018. The conference supports a special section of the current Volume 47 of 2018 of the journal and its objective is to discuss challenges of security and stability in Central Europe and to present current advancements in regional security studies.

The Organisers invite authors with papers and posters related to the following issues:
- New challenges of security in Central Europe - energy security, cyber-security and information warfare.
- Migrations as a politicised aspect of regional stability.
- Global warming and ecologic threats to Central European societies.
- Impact of the Ukrainian Conflict on regional order.
- Russian policy towards Central European countries.
- Changing roles of the NATO, the United States and the European Union in the region.
- Transformations and modernisations of Central European armed forces.
All submitted papers will be reviewed for the upcoming issues of the PPSY Volume 47 (2018), the international, peer-reviewed and indexed academic journal, recognised as a leading Polish periodical on political science, international relations, public policy and security studies.
How to Apply:
Please, submit the Online Application Form before April 6, 2018. Decisions will be announced on April 9, 2018.
If necessary, acceptance of presentation can be made after the submission, especially for foreign scholars.
Forms of Participation:
The Organisers accept applications for presentation of a paper (15-20 minutes of speech during the seminar) or a poster (presented during the poster session).
Moreover, we invite you to join the Seminar as a discussant (without presentation, but invited to contribute to the special section of our journal).
The Organisers plan to invite a keynote speaker for the conference - the name will be presented when all details will be confirmed.
Participation Fee:
Participation Fee for Presenters: 250 PLN or 70 euro, paid before April 16, 2018. The fee does not include the accommodation and costs of travel.
Participation Fee for Discussants: 200 PLN or 55 euro, paid before April 16, 2018. The fee does not include the accommodation and costs of travel.
