Ruthenian influences in the Piast realm in the tenth and eleventh centuries in the context of interdisciplinary research on eastern Wielkopolska and Kujawy
This paper discusses the problem of Polish-Ruthenian contacts at an early stage of the Piast realm (from the rule of Mieszko I to the end of Mieszko II’s rule), focusing on the significance of written sources. It also looks at place names, possibly related to the Ruthenian population, and archaeological sources.

The Bug river lands as remembered by Polish and Ruthenian chroniclers from the 12–13th centuries
The article deals with the issue of the Polish-Ruthenian part of the Bug river in the Middle Ages and is an attempt to explain how the area was perceived by inhabitants of the two neighboring countries.

Curienses on the army’s service in Ruthenia during the reign of John I Albert (Jan I Olbracht) – an outline of source issues
This article includes an analysis of the accounting records preserved in the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw which refer to the years of the reign of King John I Albert (1492–1501), in terms of the issues connected with the military service performed by horse courtiers (curienses) in the defence of Ruthenia.

Archbishop Aleksei and the Strigolniki. The pontificate overshadowed by heresy
One of the most interesting issues in the history of the Orthodox Church in the Middle Ages is the existence of the strigolniki heresy in the 14th and 15th centuries – a peculiar religious movement contesting the official teaching of the Orthodox Church and negating church hierarchical structures. In this article, the author focused on analyzing the actions of Archbishop Alexius, who was the first clergyman to take decisive action to end the heresy spreading in his eparchy
