PPSY Seminar "Public Policy, Sustainability and Good Governance" (May 8, 2018)

The Polish Political Science Yearbook invites all scholars, researchers and professionals to participate in the 8th PPSY International Seminar "Public Policy, Sustainability & Good Governance" which takes place in Toruń (Poland) on May 8, 2018. A conference is an associated event of the 2018 International Asian Congress and it supports a special section of the current Volume 47 of 2018 of the journal, and its objective is to discuss challenges of good governance and sustainability in Central Europe and the European Union and to present current advancements in studies on public policy.

The Organisers invite authors with papers and posters related to the following issues:

• Theories of public policy and alternative approaches.
• Practices of good governance in Central European countries.
• Good governance, the European Union and its crisis.
• Public policy-making and informed decision-making during political transformations.
• The new shape of relationships between a citizen and a government.
• Making development more sustainable - challenges for Central Europe and the European Union.
• The right to the non-polluted air and water? Environment protection and good governance.

All submitted papers will be reviewed for the upcoming issues of the PPSY Volume 47 (2018), the international, peer-reviewed and indexed academic journal, recognised as a leading Polish periodical on political science, international relations, public policy and security studies.

How to Apply:

Please, submit the Online Application Form before April 22, 2018. Decisions will be announced on April 25, 2018. 
If necessary, acceptance of presentation can be made after the submission, especially for foreign scholars.

Forms of Participation:

The Organisers accept applications for presentation of a paper (15-20 minutes of speech during the seminar) or a poster (presented during the poster session). 
Moreover, we invite you to join the Seminar as a discussant (without presentation, but invited to contribute to the special section of our journal).

The Organisers plan to invite a keynote speaker for the conference - the name will be presented when all details will be confirmed.

Participation Fee:

Participation Fee for Presenters: 250 PLN or 70 euro, paid before May 4, 2018. The fee does not include the accommodation and costs of travel.

Participation Fee for Discussants: 200 PLN or 55 euro, paid before May 4, 2018. The fee does not include the accommodation and costs of travel.

The Seminar is an associated event of the 2018 International Asian Congress in Toruń. Participants of the event are granted with the reduced Congress fee.
