Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przybliżenie celów, zadań i funkcji Polskiej Organizacji Turystycznej, która jest jedną z najważniejszych instytucji realizujących politykę turystyczną państwa. Jest nim również przybliżenie oraz analiza statusu organizacyjno-prawnego i najważniejszych działań tej organizacji, a także ocena jej działalności. Podstawową metodą zastosowaną dla realizacji celów publikacji jest analiza literatury przedmiotowej, materiałów wewnętrznych przedmiotowej instytucji oraz aktów prawnych.
Aby zrealizować określony wyżej cel publikacji dokonano analizy materiałów źródłowych, do których należy Statut Polskiej Organizacji Turystycznej oraz aktów prawnych, z których najważniejszym jest Ustawa o Polskiej Organizacji Turystycznej. Przydatna była również literatura tematyczna, do której należała między innymi książka H. Zawistowskiej, M. Dębskiego i H. Gorskiej-Warsewicz Polityka turystyczna.

Does the Wawel Dragon prefer sushi? The semiosphere of the vision of a multicultural city in the 21st century in the artistic works of school students from Krakow

In this text, a semiotic perspective was used to analyze the artistic works of students from Krakow schools submitted to the competition entitled “A multicultural city in the 21st century”. Assuming that the condition for the semiotics of the city are social processes leading to the recognition of objects in urban space as signs, the text is aimed to answer the question: what signs and codes constitute the semiosphere of works taking part in the competition? The analysis shows that the participants creatively used signs rooted in the tradition of Krakow, modifying their meaning by placing them in new syntagmatic systems with signs from other cultural codes. These works also show that the impact of cultural interactions is related to an exchange of signs and the dynamic process of reassigning their meanings. They also illustrate other sociocultural mechanisms taking place in the conditions of multi – and interculturalism. One of them is the simple multiplication of various “cultural packages”, and another – the diverse and dynamic interactions and the interweaving of the multiple elements that make up the entire intercultural space.

Inherited, acquired and individually shaped culture in selected creative biographies

The problem of identity forming is presented in the article on selected examples of creative biographies. The author points out how important in this process is the inherited culture, shaped in the family home and in the local environment. He also indicates how difficult the process of integration with the culture is when this culture is acquired in state educational institutions, conducting an internal dialogue to create an individual culture of being, achieving goals and values in positive freedom and civil disobedience. In the presented creative biographies, the author draws attention to the awareness of experiences and experiences in each of the cultures, to the ability and skill to resolve conflicts, negotiate, reconcile values, patterns, norms in the constant process of identity forming. The author draws attention to the development of a reflective identity project, conscious and responsible choices of content from each culture, the existential theme of the joy of living, being in harmony with oneself, which is particularly important in intercultural education.
