Pressure of the Law Associations in the Process of Law-Making on the Rules of Access to Legal Services in Poland in 2014-2020
The article attempts to assess the lobbying activity of the Polish law associations. The study sought to identify the scale and method of their possible impact on the legislation. The convergence of the public and private interests was assessed in the field of law on legal services and legal aid as enacted in 2014-2020. It was assumed that these interests would be contradictory, which turned out to be false in half of the cases examined. On the other hand, the assumption about the influence of the law associations on the new legislation on legal services was positively verified. The hypothesis stating that their influence is considerable was refuted, as most of the analyzed acts were in line primarily with the common good, and less so with the interests of lawyers. The involvement in the lobbying of the law associations, as well as its effectiveness, turned out to be moderate. In half of the cases, wider access to legal services was associated with a reduction in the privileges of lawyers.

Performing Public Tasks Consisting in Running Points of Free Legal Assistance and/or Free Civic Counselling by Church Legal Entities
Running points of free legal assistance and/or free civic counseling can be entrusted to non-governmental organizations conducting public benefit activities. Non-governmental organizations are selected in annual open competitions for offers organized in each voivodeship by district and cities with district rights. The text discussees the issue of admissibility of performing above mentioned tasks by church legal entities. The analysis shows that, in principle, church legal entities are not entitled to do so, although in practice these tasks are carried out by them.

The Right to Free Legal Aid in the Light of the Constitutional Principle of Equality
The aim of the article is to analyze the solutions enabling the use of legal aid in the light of the principle of equality under the Art. 32 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland. There is an inconsistency between the aid at the judicial and pre-court stage. Theoretically, both forms of legal aid are aimed at people in a difficult financial situation. In practice, aid at the pre-court stage can be provided to both poor and very wealthy people, as the assessment of the inability to bear the costs of paid legal aid is based only on the subjective belief of these people. On the other hand, the grounds for obtaining legal aid at the judicial stage must be clearly demonstrated by the person applying for the appointment of a professional lawyer.
